Re: Bigger with 5th grader post...link and advice please!

Re: Skip Preparing and move onto CTC?
I am very interested in the answer to this as well. I have a 5th grader doing Bigger this year and I am considering skipping Preparing and moving right into CTC.

Two Guides or One with Extensions?
Right now we are doing Bigger with a 3rd and 5th grader (with Extensions). It is going well and they like it. However, I sometimes feel that I am not challenging my 5th grader enough. So what are your feelings on doing two guides vs. one guide with extensions. Also, since I will be doing Preparing n...

Christy, I'll just add my two cents worth - I love Disney! We have gone to Disney twice. Once on our honeymoon and once when our kids were 7 and 9. The ages of our kids were perfect of the kids. They were old enough where we didn't have to use a stroller (I would NEVER do that there!!), and the wond...

NIrV Adventure Bible is a hit here. My DS loves it. He can understand it and doesn't become frustrated when he comes to difficult words.

What to do with a dd that is lazy...?
This is our third year homeschooling and our first with HOD. We are loving the ease of HOD and it is working so much better for me to implement. My DS is a breeze to homeschool - compliant, easy going, willing to do most anything I ask. My DD is a different story. She is very strong willed, a totall...

I look at the pictures that many of you post and see happy, excited children eagerly doing their work and I long for that! My dc are just not there yet. Right now it is a struggle to get ...

Thank you Julie!
Wonderful ideas from all of you. He has done two days of cursive. He says he hates it, but proceeds along! His "l"s and "h"s are beautiful when he takes his time!

I am very interested in this also.
Science is such an issue in our house. It is difficult to find a program that is complete but doesn't take the whole day to implement!
