Re: Pics of Getting Ready for RevtoRev
I love these posts! This is going to be our 2nd time in Rev to Rev. I used Julie's post as a guide the 1st time. I'm so thankful to see it front and center where I can find it to use it again. Thank you, Julie!

Re: Money Can't Buy What HOD Provides!
I completely agree! We buy all of our books from them as well! The prayers, thoughts, heart, and soul that Carrie puts into choosing just the right books and writing this curriculum could never be repaid. Buying the books from HOD is the least we can do.

Re: Why and How Long?
It's the most Christ centered curriculum I've found. God led me to it and I felt it was His will without a doubt, for us to use it. I completely trust Carrie's judgment (and Julie's) on what is needed to prepare my children academically. It stetches me and makes me try to be the mom and teacher I so...

Thank you so much, Lynn. I have been hoping someone would do this. It helps so much to see pics of what others do.

Re: Dictation/Spelling questions
Can you explain to your husband that dictation is a slow process. I questioned it in the beginning, but I was reassured by the ladies here that it is worth the wait. I put aside all other spelling programs (believe me, there were many) and my ds has grown leaps and bounds with just dictation. We do ...

Re: Using HOD at the younger or older end of the guidelines
I used LHFHG for my 7 year old first grade ds. He will turn 8 this fall and we will be doing Beyond for second grade. Both of my boys are on the older side of the age ranges for HOD. My 11 year old ds will be finishing PHFHG this fall and move to CTC.

Re: Bigger Extension Pack with Beyond
Thanks for the suggestions Ladies. You know, we did Preparing half speed in the beginning and it worked out well for us. I don't know why I didn't think of that now. I like the idea of doing PHFHG half speed and doing Beyond with both boys. I guess doing it half speed just makes me feel like I am al...

Re: Bigger Extension Pack with Beyond
Thanks Christine. I wasn't sure if they would work together or not. I didn't want to have to come up with my own booklist for my oldest. I'm not very good at that sort of thing, plus Carrie always picks great books. My oldest ds is actually halfway through PHFHG right now. We love it and are learnin...

Bigger Extension Pack with Beyond
We will be starting Beyond soon, and I am wondering if the Bigger Extension Pack will coincide with the Beyond guide. I am trying to figure out a way to combine my boys for while. I don't want to skip Beyond with my soon to be 2nd grader, so I can't do Bigger yet. But I need to beef up Beyond for my...

Re: Using Beyond to help teach DITHOR
Thank you Carrie and Julie. I love the way you wrote the guides to build on each other. My two youngest sons will benefit from that. I wish I would have found you guys a few years ago, and so does my oldest son.

Robin, I'll let someone with more experience answer your questions about placement and grammar. I just wanted to say welcome. I'm glad you are excited about using HOD. We love it at our home. It blesses us daily.

Using Beyond to help teach DITHOR
For some reason, DITHOR is a little scary to me. I've had a hard time making myself teach it. I love it, but am just not real confident with my teaching skills when it comes to literature. Sometimes, I don't trust myself when I have to come up with ideas or answers. You know, like if there isn't one...

Re: love the new ad
I saw the ad the other day when reading my mag. I also think it looks so good. I considered posting about it, but I am still a little new with this kind of thing. I'm just not super comfortable starting a new topic yet. So, I am so glad you did it for me. Thanks. Speaking of advertisement, our homes...

Re: Can we agree in prayer?
I am so thankful for Carrie and all who make HOD possible. It is changing our homeschool experience in such a positive way. Thank you for the reminder to lift them up in prayer. I will be praying for their family and their ministry with you.
