Re: Apologia/Beyond question
Could you use one of the other two Zoology books instead? If you haven't already done them I would choose one of those. I wouldn't use it b/c I would be disappointed when I got to the Ancients guide! But that's just my .02 cents!

Re: Changes in LHFHG
Sharon,
I'm sorry. I didn't mean to alarm you. If you are planning on ordering soon it will not affect you. It was said in an earlier post that they have enough Singapore Earlybird math to last awhile. I was just wondering b/c *technically* I don't need the book for a couple of more years.

Changes in LHFHG
I was wondering if the only changes being planned in Little Hearts is the math, due to the change in Singapore. I would like to go ahead a purchase a teachers guide so I could get a sneek peak at it. I won't be needing it for a couple years but I didn't want to miss out on any other changes. I don't...

Anyone use CLE Learn to Read w/ HOD?
I would really like to use CLE Learn to Read and was wondering if anyone here uses it with their children. Did you like it? Since they don't have K did you start in K and stretch it out? Do you plan on continuing with their reading program?

A little confused about grade levels...
I received my catalog and I'm a little confused...I know that Carrie is planning three guides after Creation to Christ and that is supposed to take your child through 8th grade....but if I start with Little Hearts for His Glory for Kindergarten does this mean it will only take me through the 7th gra...

That sounds really interesting. What level of the program does this begin? Are the sentences from the Bible or books?

Dictation question?
I feel silly asking this question, but I am brand new to the Charlotte Mason approach. What is dictation? From reading posts I'm guessing it has something to do with spelling.

Re: If you could start all over again...
LeAnna, KWIM is know what I mean. Sorry about that! :D Yes you helped me alot. The only thing that concerns me is my younger child is a boy and I've heard that boys mature slower than girls so I'm afraid that he won't be ready. I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I think I would feel better abou...

Re: If you could start all over again...
LeAnna,
Did you start K when your oldest was supposed to be in K or did you wait until the youngest was supposed to be in K. I guess I'm trying to decide if I keep them together which is better to have one working a year and ahead or one a year behind? KWIM?

If you could start all over again...
I've already posted a question or two about starting HOD with my children. It seems to me that many of you came to Heart of Dakota after beginning homeschooling and had to find where your children fit into the program. I haven't yet started homeschooling so I get the benefits of starting from the be...
