Re: Trying to hang in there...

Fisrt off, just want to echo what so many others have said about staying the course you are confident God has put you on, no matter what anyone else says. Do what God has called you to do and what you and your DH have agreed on and tune the naysayers out  You are doing a GREAT job!!! That bein...

Starting Tomorrow!!

WOW! This has been a ride! I was originally going to do Bigger with my dd8 and Beyond with my dd6, but decided it was way too much to do both for us right now, so I went looking. I even BOUGHT another program (which I now have to sell  )that I thought would be easier to combine. I sat down yes...

Re: Okay Ladies...needing help!

Hey Kathleen,

Thanks for the suggestion! I had thought about that too but the little one won't be 4 until next March so I think that may be a bit of a stretch :) If only she was a little bit older.....

Okay Ladies...needing help!

Hi All, I thought I had it all figured out  I have a 6 year old DD (1st), and 8 year old DD (3rd) and a 3.4 year old DD. My plan after much consideration was to start the 1st grader in Beyond and go at 1/2 speed, the 3rd grader in Bigger at full speed, and the little one in LHTH. Seemed GREAT ...

Beyond for a 3rd grader??

Hi There, I love HOD and am so excited about starting, but really need to make this decision!! My original plan was to use Beyond with my 1st grader (6 in June) and Bigger with my 3rd grader (8 in June). As we have come to the close of this school year and I am starting to plan for next, I am questi...

Re: Arlington TX Homeschool Fair-- Who went and met Carrie???

My friend and I were there too and got a chance to meet Carrie and get some great advice about which programs to choose. Everyone at the booth was so sweet and we had a great time at the convention :D

Re: Waiting until fall???

Thanks Ladies!!! I could fill the rest of the year with lapbooks, etc for science and history (which will be a TON of work for me!!), of simply jump into these wonderful programs. Hmmm, let me think..... We will be starting HOD on Monday :D Thank you for giving me the encouragement to do so!!! Coleen

Waiting until fall???

Okay, I posted this morning a fairly comfusing post trying to get some advice on planning. The basics of our situation are as follows: I have 2 dd in school, K and 2nd. We have completed 19 weeks of school and have 14 left (based on finishing Math and LA, our state does not have any requirements). W...

Need to make a decision and stick with it!!

Hi Everyone, Okay, I need some advice here and hopefully I can make this make sense! I have a 2nd grader right now and we have 14 weeks left of the school year (lots of interruptions this year!) I would have liked for her to complete Bigger this year so that she could continue on in the HOD progress...

State Study?

I was just wondering if anyone has ever done a state study alongside HOD. We will be doing Bigger with my 3rd grader and either Little Hearts or Beyond (I haven't decided yet) with my 1st grader. I was also looking at adding 50 States Under God by A Helping Hand. Anyone ever added something like tha...

Bigger or Preparing?

Okay, so according to the placement charts, my will be 3rd grader in the Fall definitely fits more into Preparing. However, I was going to place her in Bigger, simply because we haven't really covered any American History. What do you ladies think?

Thanks!

Poetry in Beyond/placement and combining question:) HELP!

Hi Everyone, We started Beyond today and so far...wonderful!! I do have one question though. I assumed from the directions to copy part of a poem each day for a week, you would be copying the whole poem by the end of the week. Then when I looked at the poems in the back, some of them are LONG! Do yo...

How fast does HOD ship??

Sorry if this is a double post, but I didn't see the first one go through. I need BLHFHG yesterday:) I am so excited and have 34 weeks to get through before our next school year, so I just wanted to know the odds of having this in my hands by the end of the week.

Thanks Ladies!!
