How do you chose in Beyond

How do you chose in Beyond which set of readers to get? They all look so wonderful. I have read some of the ones on the boy interest and they are great. Then I read the descriptions of the ones on the classic and they sound great. Then I look at the girl interest, even though I have boys, and have read some of those and know they are great.
How can you chose? I want to read them all. LOL

I have some of the books from all the categories actually, and I let the kids choose. In the back of the manual there is 5 choices for each category. Anytime I see any of the choices at thrift stores I pick them up. I will be doing Beyond at least four times, so I like the idea of making the program a bit different each time by letting my kids pick. I'm about to finish up Beyond with my ds, and it is kinda cool because I already let my dd pick which storytime she wants for next year, and she picked all different except one.

Happy choosing! I'm also able to pick up many of the titles I don't already own at thrift stores or yard sales. Maybe you could purchase a few titles for gifts for your children or to use with DITHR ...

Well, I have 2 in Beyond and then there's me. I read aloud the description of all three biographies and then you voted on your 2 favorites. Whichever book at the most votes were what we'd use for Storytime. The other books are getting read in the evenings and this summer. Just an idea.
