Emerging Reader question...

Post by Cherylanne » Tue Mar 22, 2011 12:39 pm

What does the reading level start with and end with in this set? As I've posted before, my ds9 is a struggling reader and I thought about getting the set so we could go through it this summer. He is approximately reading on a 2.5 level at this point, so I don't know if I need the whole set.

It ranges from 2.0 to 3.4 Only one is 2.0, the next highest is 2.4 (one of those), the rest are 2.5 and higher. HTH!! :D

YES it does! One more question...if he reads the ER's this summer just for "fun", I'm hoping by fall he will be ready for the next level. (I will be using bigger) But if I do this that mess up our lessons for when we actually use the program in the fall. I'm still confused on how everything works and is tied together.

Thats the nice thing about it. The phonics/ reading is not tied with anything. We are in LHFHG and I just bought the Emerging Readers Set and Beyond manual (for the schedule and comprehension questions). You can totally follow your own track with reading and it doesn't mess anything up. :)

Like the pp said, it won't mess anything up. You can just go right into using DITHOR. :D
