What if your child hasn't gone through the entire list2 spelling words in Beyond and you are ready to begin Bigger? Do you just start out with dictation if they are spelling well and understand the concept of studying the words or what?
(We are working in Beyond right now and I am very pleased with it. But we are moving rather quickly. We may end up not finishing and jumping into Bigger. Can't decide yet. My dd is 8yo and has struggled with handwriting, but now she has suddenly blossomed!)

Re: Ready for dictation?
I don't know if this is correct or not, but we started Bigger recently and I just went through the spelling lists orally with each of my daughters to see where they were. I thought I would just start on the spelling list that she couldn't get most words. Well, one of them could spell them all so we started dictation. I haven't finished with the other one but I think she'll have to do some spelling lists. It's the older one that will have to do the lists and the younger one is a great speller.

Re: Ready for dictation?
Oh okay. So the spelling words and/or dictation don't go with certain weeks. That makes sense. I don't know where my brain was. LOL
Thanks!
