RTR - How many hours per day?

Post by Motherjoy » Thu Apr 22, 2010 10:01 pm

I couldn't find this information, and I'm not very good with the search feature. Does anyone know how long RTR is supposed to take per day?

Thanks,
Beth

The catalog says 4 to 4 1/2 hours each day with plans for just 4 days a week!

From glancing at the plans, my guess would be that about an hour - and hour and a half would include you as the teacher. There are 1 or 2 teacher-directed boxes, and then you'd teach through the math lesson, English lesson & DITHOR for the day. The rest is done independently.

Ditto to what Dorla and Kathleen said - RTR is scheduled to take approximately 4 to 4 1/2 hours a day to do, with about 1 1/2 hours or so of that being teacher directed. These times are assuming a person is using all of HOD's LA and math, doing just what the plans say to do, and not subbing in other LA/math or adding more things to the day that may take longer. HTH! We can't wait to do RTR with our oldest - it looks so neat, and all of those books... they'll be hard to keep my son's hands off of.
