Also, I have been wanting to add in some extras, since we have some time to do so (I am only doing LHFHG with my 6 year old daughter this year). I would like to do safety, nutrition, cooking, and maybe a zoo animal study (before our trip to the zoo in the spring). Do any of you have some book suggestions for me? Also, if you have any other topic that would be good to add in for a 6 year old, please let me know. I just would like some short lessons that are fun to do that won't seem like school work.

Carrie, thank you so much for HOD!!!!! We were at the park the other day with our homeschool group and I was listening to several ladies discussing what they were planning for next year. They were all talking about how it took them from now until the summer to figure out what they were going to do (just piecing things together). I just smiled to myself (feeling kind of guilty

I am also so thankful to Julie and all of the other ladies on this board who are SOOO much help to me while we are going through it. When we started homeschooling last fall, I had decided to make a one year commitment and then decide whether or not to do it again next year. Well, we love it, and I can't imagine life any other way.

PS. Sorry for the long post, but I have to share this funny. My daughter was in a 1/2 day preschool the year before we started LHFHG. Well, my son is going to be preschool age this fall and when I mentioned to my daughter that I was thinking about sending him to the same preschool this year for fun, she had a fit! Ha! She wants me to keep him at home and do her fun school with him too!

Thanks,
Christy
