Help with Science experiment Preparing Unit 19

Post by LynnH » Fri Jan 22, 2010 8:54 am

I don't know what we are doing wrong. My ds set out the cards in a circle, put the flashlight on the floor in the middle and we then both walked around the outside of the circle and the light doesn't appear to move through the constellations. It just looks like it is still pointed toward the top one. What are we doing wrong?

We made our ring of constellations, and then put a flashlight in the middle of the circle standing up (pointed at the ceiling). Then Grant crawled around the circle with his head close to the ground where the constellations were. He could see how the "sun" looked like it was moving through them. Does that make sense? I know I have a picture of him doing it that I haven't put on the computer yet if you want to see it. :D
