Our Week In Pictures~ Early!

Post by MamaMary » Wed Feb 27, 2008 12:19 pm

We had the MOST amazing week with Heart of Dakota. However, today is our last day for this week. I am taking my precious Grandmother to a doctor's appointment tomorrow and then we're going to get our hair done. (smile) Friday is our co-op day, so though we still do math and LA..., I won't get back to HOD until Monday

MamaMary...
How in the world do you manage to take so many pictures, homeschool 3 BOYS, and still have time to put them on your blog. I am just a tad jealous  please forgive my honesty. I have ONE child and have to remember where the camera is, then remember to take the picture after I have found the camera, and then not forget to blog at least once a week
I REALLY like looking at all your pictures. You are fantastic!
Is there anyone else out there like me?

Okay Dorla, you've met your match. I have one child and I am in the same boat! I tried blogging and I felt overwhelmed w/more on my to-do list! I couldn't manage the extra time on the computer, and as you said Dorla, much less find the camera, keep the batteries in it or remember to even take the picture. Oh...don't forget that I have to find my reading glasses. It's fascinating how Mary does it with 4 kids, but I have a sneaking suspicion, (really because other mothers tell me so), other kids keep each other busy.

Mary you have a knack for talking as well. I can post pictures but have NOTHING to say. Put two people together like me and there is nothing to talk about. BUT...... get me with someone who does, and I can usually go on forever. I don'thave the gift of gab. Silence to me is golden. Doesn't make for a good blogger. LOL!!!! But I know by your pictures Mary, you have far more fun and I. I'm too busy making those darn lists, organizing everything. UGH....I just hate that.

Cute pictures. We did the lard thing two weeks ago. I thought it was cool. My dd who even likes to play in mud and climb trees, didn't like the lard on her hands. Go figure!

These look terrific! Your boys are so cute!

(And Oh My Goodness - I am so jealous of the shorts and t-shirts! :x We have a foot of snow on the ground, and it just doesn't seem like it's ever going to stop!)

Dorla, you remind me so much of my friend Lani. She forgets her camera to everything. (but when I'm with her she just steals mine, LOL) She started a blog awhile ago and we get updates, maybe once every 4 mos?

I don't know if this has any bearing? She is an Olive Organized and so she is very much a task by task person. Did you take the test? It's in another post here.

I wish I could tell you it's because I'm so wonderful at time management but that's SO NOT TRUE!

Thank YOU for your sweet words. (((Warm Hugs))) One last thought..., I've blogged for a long time now, so I do feel like I'm able to do more than when I was learning and getting the hang of it?

Blogging/Blog update

Post by inHistiming » Wed Feb 27, 2008 7:31 pm

I just want to say that I am not so great at face-to-face conversation unless I know you pretty well. However, when I'm blogging, there's no pressure to hurry up and get in what I want to say,or any time crunch because I have to be somewhere else. I can blog as quickly or as slowly as I like. So, those of you who think you would have nothing to say...you may be surprised. Give it a try, I bet you'll love it like me!

BTW, hubby has some pictures/posts up now of his first day or two in Europe. Check it out at www.perfectbydesign.blogspot.com.

I agree with you wholeheartedly! I am not so great with small talk face-to-face, and have a hard time speaking in front of group of people. But, I do enjoy blogging very much and find that when the mood strikes I really enjoy communicating this way. It is a way for me to share what is going on in my head and in my life with others when I probably would not share the same things face-to-face.

Mary,

What fun pictures! Just so you know, you (and the other "bloggers") have inspired me! 8) I realized this week that I have not taken a single picture of us doing school this year. (That's right...7 months, 0 pictures!)

Anyway, I got my camera out and snapped several of Alli doing our fingerplays and projects. She thought it was great! Now...my next task is to figure out how to post them... :? (Did someone way somewhere that you have to have them online, not just on your computer? Mel, where was that Computers for Dummies class? )

Thanks for sharing Mary!

I'm glad you're laughing. I reread that and it certainly was meant to be a compliment!!!! I am not social. I like to be alone and entertaining stresses me out. I cringe when my dh invites people over for dinner. Especially on the spur of the moment. Geez! I didn't plan!! And don't call me. I hate the phone.

But I see how fun you are. Look how much fun you can have when you're a social person!!!You're a blast!!!!!I can see it in your blog! Fun to me is a day to myself. And to share a room at a convention w/someone I don't know? YIKES!! Anyway, after all this babbling....I'm glad you laughed. It was meant as you took it!
