Question about activities in the text books.......
Hi ladies! We are in Unit 5 of LHFHG and so far it is going very smoothly. My daughter is learning so much and she seems to be enjoying it. I had posted a question right after we started about how long it took to complete every day. We are still getting done most days in about 70 min. We have not been rushing. I couldn't figure out why we were getting done so quickly and I realized that there are some extra activities in the text books that we have not been doing. I have just been doing what's in the guide just as it is written. My question is how many of you do the extra activities and how many just go by the guide? I want to make sure that we aren't missing anything that we are supposed to be doing. Thanks so much!

I just went by the guide too.
We finished in about 70 minutes once we were a few weeks or months into the guide too.

Re: Question about activities in the text books.......
Hi Christy,
I typically just complete what is in the guide as well. However, I also like to add in some of the optional literature suggestions that are found in the Appendix of the guide. I like having that resource to refer to in case we want to expand our study time on a certain topic. For example, my daughter took a great interest in Joseph and Egypt so, I ended up purchasing some of the titles that were recommended for that particular unit.
Otherwise, just cruising through each daily lesson as written in the guide, is perfect too! 70 minutes sounds right on.
Have fun!
