Writing

What writing curriculum is suggested and when is it introduced? I don't see it in the listings of the different packages, though I'm sure I must be blind as a bat.

A reason for handwriting and italic. And later levels is cheerful cursive or Cursive Book D. I am using a reason for handwriting and will probably use cheerful cursive in a couple of yrs.

Copywork is used as the primary source of writing instruction through the levels up to Bigger. Then, in addition to copywork, Preparing begins creative writing assignments and written narrations. They are very well done and talk you through each process step by step (right in the guide). If you are using Rod & Staff for English, there are also assignments included the lessons. In the new Creation Through Christ guide, Carrie has included and scheduled Write With the Best Vol 1.

Oh I'm sorry, I wasn't very clear. I meant writing, as in, composition. I thought I saw something about Write with the Best or some other curriculum that you add to Rod and Staff english and I was wondering what grade this is suggested. My daughter is taking off on her writing, on her own, and I just thought if there was something I would need in future grades, I might get it now if it would be useful.

Oh jeeps, I just didn't read that last post very clearly. I see you mentioned Write with the Best. Well that's helps! Thanks!
