I would like my daughter to take 3 full years of Spanish in high school. I'm looking for ways I can accomplish this using HOD as written. At some point, I will need to find material to use for year 3. Any suggestions on how to go about this or what to use for an additional year.
Thank you!

Third Year of Spanish
Re: Third Year of Spanish
What level is your dd using now?
As for using HOD as written, unless you dd is going into MtMM next year, then you could start Spanish then and then add another year when she completes the final guide. But other than that, I am not sure how you would go about completing 3 years.

Thank you Daneale!
My daughter will be in 7th grade, starting Rev-Rev in a couple months. I'm thinking ahead for high school planning. I have an older daughter who is in her third year of college at Biola. She is an elementary ed major and my youngest thinks she may want to pursue the same college and major. Where ever she goes, she will likely be a humanities major. I'd like her to have 3 years of foreign language to strengthen her transcript. My oldest took 3 years through Rosetta Stone, but doesn't feel that she learned very much. Actually, she wishes that she would have taken a 4th year of foreign language in high school. If she had, she would have fulfilled the college requirement and saved herself from having to take another class. Honestly, there isn't much you choose from if you want to go beyond Spanish 2. At least, not without breaking the bank. I'm just looking for suggestions.
We live overseas so in some ways learning the language here (Albanian) would be practical, but down the road she will more than likely use Spanish, especially if she does end up in the teaching profession in California.

Have have you considered maybe looking at online classes for hey senior year? Some colleges offer them that way. Maybe a CLEP book would also work.

Thank you! That is a good suggestion. I've never looked at CLEP material since we live overseas and the exams aren't offered here, but I can still look at covering the material to use for a third year.

Re: Third Year of Spanish
For proficiency in a foreign language, we have found it essential to have live interaction with a Spanish speaker. This is the one area where we used outside help in our school, utilizing online classes as well as a local university for our daughter who now majors in Spanish in college.
