Looking Ahead to High School

Post by emnsam » Mon Feb 01, 2016 10:00 am

Hi. If my daughter is doing Preparing Hearts with extensions this year for 6th grade, do we just keep going each year doing the extensions or would we skip a guide at some point? If she is doing Rev to Rev in 9th grade, is the extension package enough for high school credit? Thanks.

If she is well placed and feeling challenged then you could keep going. If at some point things seem too easy for her and she is not being challenged then you could take a fresh look at the placement chart and see if she could skip a guide. If you continue as is then you would have to do more to beef it up than just the extensions, but there is a thread at the top of this forum called beefing up for high school that gives more specifics as to how to make the lower guides high school worthy. I will say there is a big jump from MTMM to the high school World Geography guide as far as amount of work and what is expected.
