Preparing Timeline

Post by 3greatkids » Tue May 26, 2015 1:20 pm

Could someone help me find a link that would have some photos of a completed Preparing Timeline? I'm having a hard time visualizing this and am trying to determine where we would put this in our schoolroom so as to have enough space and not be moving it continually. Thanks.

Honestly we have done the putting it on the back of a door in stair steps and we've done the taping and accordion folding of index cards, but the best thing we've found is to just do the boxes on paper like the Beyond and Bigger timeline. My kids hated the other ways.

Thanks so much Lora Beth. The kids have enjoyed timeline in Beyond and Bigger and I will use your suggestion.

We taped index cards on the fridge starting at the bottom right and going right to left. When the bottom line was full, we went to the far right of the line above.

Here's how Julie did it:

We are just putting my daughter's in a long line on the wall above her desk. I like that she can see it all the time as she works.

We did something like Julie's and stored it behind a piece of furniture and pulled it out periodically during some of the other guides when we were trying to figure out things that were happening at the same time as the event he was reading about.
