2 in Resurrection to Reformation

Post by Gwenny » Sat May 09, 2015 6:20 am

Has anyone had 2 in the RtR guide? Or can someone who knows how to search find something about someone who has done that and talked about it? I have a very unique situation coming up.
Some of you know that I have a Liberian girl that is now 18. She is very learning disabled but has grown a lot using HOD. She has been gone for almost a year at a ministry serving. It's been an awesome experience for her and she's learned a bunch of skills. :) She is coming home in a few weeks. We have decided that she needs to do some more "school" before we will give her a diploma. She is totally fine with that. She wants to learn more.

Before she left, she was doing CTC and doing well. She finished Unit 22. Now I need to figure out what to do with her. I could have her finish CTC, but I'm considering having her start RTR with my 13 yo. She's finishing CTC the 2nd week of June and then we will maybe take a week and start RTR. I can see pros and cons of both ways.
She is not as fast a reader as the 13 yo. I was thinking that I could do all of the T boxes with them both at the pace that the 13 yo goes through the guide. Even if the older one gets behind on the other boxes, we could just continue on with the T boxes. Thoughts on that?
I think I would need to get her her own guide. Maybe some of the other books as well?

Any thoughts would be appreciated. :)

Yes, each having their own manuals is helpful. I also think you will need the student writing book and the Philippians study book for each child as well along with the notebooking pages. They might also enjoy having separate story times. So the older child could do the extension books while the younger use the story time. Other than that, I can't of anything else that each would need.

Thanks Daneale! I've never really wanted to have two in a guide but I don't see another way around it. I will need to switch the story time books-the older one would read the regular and the younger the extension. The reading is already going to be pushing it for the older one and the younger is a great reader. I'm glad you mentioned it, because I have all of the books, including extension already and now I don't have to worry about them sharing or waiting on the other. They will each have their own set.
