LHFHG History Reaading
LHFHG History Reaading
Ok, so in LHFHG unit 10 day 5, I read the story from History Stories for Children. Then I read the key idea. The two didn't seem to match at all! The story said nothing about his being a Macedonian king, a great conqueror, or his making Babylon the capitol. Not that it really matters, but was that info somewhere else?

Re: LHFHG History Reaading
Well, they're both about Alexander the Great! I noticed that, too, but just chalked it up to wanting to mention something about Alexander that didn't happen to be covered in the chosen text. Now they've heard the word Macedonian and the idea that this boy who seemed so wise as a child grew up to be a great man (as the first paragraph in the story in the book mentioned, too). I'm sure they won't remember it, but they may now be familiar with the story of the boy and the horse who was afraid of his shadow!
