Anita Dittman (Holocaust survivor in MTMM) to speak in MN!

Anita Dittman (Holocaust survivor from the MTMM "Storytime" book In the Shadow of His Hand), is scheduled to speak at "Understanding the Times" conference in Eden Prairie, MN on April 26, 2014!! It's a free conference at Grace Church there. Just Google for more information, since I don't think we are allowed to add links here.

We are so excited, because we didn't even realize she was still living, and we just finished reading her story a few weeks ago (and LOVED it!) :)

I was able to hear her speak about 16 years ago in college. It is worth going to!

Oh how I wish we were closer. We really liked that book and I would love to hear her speak. I also didn't realize she was still living.

We loved that book so much that my husband surprised me with her autobiography. I wish we were closer. Thank you for posting. I think MTMM has been my favorite year of read alouds, but maybe I say that every year. :)

Melissa, that is so cool! I think she is introducing a new movie they are making about her story, and I hope to get to actually meet her and talk for a few seconds, if possible. :)

I feel the same way about MTMM. This is my favorite year of history so far! (It's neat, too, because now our daughter is on week 29 and reading about stuff that happened when my husband and I were born! She thinks it's cool that "we were there!" LOL)

I Googled her information to see how old she was, and as of December 2013, I think it said she was 79. So, she's either 79-80 now and looks younger (from her photos)! :)

We just completed the Dittman book last week. What a treat it would be to see and hear her in person!
