Hi, ladies,
Just so happy with LHFHG... Over the past month, our family sked has been really busy, so we wound up doing mostly just the right side of HOD...but this month, we were able to get back on full speed, and my son just loves the rhymes in motion! And, also noticed that he seems to be listening better to the read-alouds and understanding it better (we were the family that wrote in months ago about the problem of english as a second language)... We're now on Grandfather Frog. hehe i guess i'm just really happy that with HOD, i can be flexible and still get back to where we left off without feeling like we're totally off schedule or something being the perfectionist that i am, that's like a breath of fresh air!!! Thanks again, HOD!

Re: What i love about HOD!
It sounds like you are doing a fantastic job teaching your son. I was fascinated that you are in the Philippines using HOD. So, I was reading some of your blog. I was touched when I read about your son's reaction to death this past year. He is a very special little guy. What this world would be like if everyone had that attitude. You picked a wonderful curriculum (HOD ) to teach your son about God's love and Heaven. I did LHFHG with my daughter a few years ago, and it was great. We have been away from HOD for close to a year, but we are coming back as soon as my box arrives. I'm looking forward to all the good stuff in Preparing. I'm happy to be back here, and happy that you are part of this board as well.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 4

That is something to love about HOD, isn't it? I find it to be flexible with my unexpected life's happenings as well. I'm so glad that you are enjoying all of LHFHG now, and that your little one is growing into loving the Thorton Burgess' books. HOORAY! Keep up the good work, Yen!
