We began DITHOR before beginning HOD as a core and we just finished our first unit (mystery)! DITHOR stretched my kids without frustrating them. It challenged them just right. They were not use to that level of thinking so it took some getting use to but they did it! My son went over all the pages he completed and shouted, "Oh my gosh! I seriously did ALL of that?!!" He was so proud of himself! He smiled from ear to ear and looked through the student booklet again and again in amazement. He reread some of his answers and said, "Wow! Now that was a great answer!" Lol! This led to other conversations about perseverance and believing in one's ability. I told him how proud I was and told him how happy I am that he is finally seeing himself as God sees him...a smart young man capable of anything he is determined to do. No excuses and no more self-made barriers. We are in this thing together

. Next up: Humor

. And to think, I thought DITHOR was just a reading program...little did I know, there would be character development along the way!
