DITHOR 2/3 vs 4/5

Post by AmyHall » Sat Mar 23, 2013 8:43 am

Wondering what the difference is in workbooks from 2/3 and 4/5. It looks like you can use books from various reading levels interchangeably so I'm guessing 2/3 is just a bit less time consuming? I'm planning to use 4/5 with my fourth grader next year. Just wondering if there are any big differences I should be aware of. I don't see info on the website about the variances. Thank you!

Sample of 2/3

Sample of 4/5

You can follow along in the teacher's guide HERE to see how they differ. Level 4/5 IMHO is a lot less teacher intensive.

John'smom gave a great answer already, so I'll just add 4/5 has more writing, more workbook pages, and assumes dc have had some experience with the parts of the story. HTH! :D
