question about Singapore Math

Post by Jenny » Tue Jan 08, 2013 1:06 pm

My son is on pg 115 of book 1A. Should all the problems and math facts be done mentally or is it ok for him to still use manipulatives, number line, etc. at this point? Since I don't have the teachers guide...only what is written in the HOD manual...I'm not sure what is expected as far as this goes. Thanks!

Jenny,

We're actually expecting him to still be using manipulatives, number line, etc. to solve the problems. :D This will continue all of the way through 2B at the minimum.

Blessings,
Carrie
