I hope since there are not guides for high school yet it's ok to ask this question here.
Does anyone have any experience with an Economics course for high schoolers that you would recommend?
I am searching and just trying to find something not politically biased on either side and that might be thorough.

Thank you Carrie that was helpful. After I posted that I picked up the Penny Candy book I had here and started reading it. I was impressed and educated. I had no idea who clueless I was about this stuff.
I think for next year I am going to do Whatever Happened to Penny Candy with the guide and add in Whatever happened to Justice and Am I liberal, conservative or confused. All which I think will be beneficial to my daughter. There are several other of Maybury's books I want but it was getting expensive so I will hold off.
I want to read them all too.

Re: High school Economics question
This may be out of a lot of people's budgets, but my high school DS did Dave Ramsey's "Foundations in Personal Finance" homeschool course. It has DVDs, a workbook, study guides and tests. It does not cover a lot of national/global ecomonics and does not really touch on political subjects, but it is amazing for helping students understand the dangers of debt (and the general concept of trying to "keep up with the Jones'--or the Jones' teenagers!) It also covered insurance, investments, and things to think about as you are choosing a career. And it didn't just preach against debt; it really gave positive, practical advise for living on less than you make. (What a novel idea!)
I was very lucky that my homeschool co-op purchased this and one of the mom's taught it at co-op. They would watch the videos and discuss the ideas, then DS would work on the workbook and tests at home. It was such a good class. Dave Ramsey is such a fabulous communicator! In today's debt-burdened society, I think EVERY student would benefit from this course. I will definitely require all my DC to complete this course.

I don't know if it is any good but Modern Woodmen provide FREE curriculum to homeschoolers in economics and other areas not covered in HOD like PE and life skills. Just go to their website.
