Cheerful Cursive vs Reason for Handwriting

Post by lovetobehome » Tue May 06, 2008 3:56 pm

I haven't seen Cheerful Cursive, but was about to order RFH A for my 6 yo and C for my 8yo (cursive for the 8yo). I wondered if anyone had comments on CC and why it is better....I like the Biblical verses in RFH. My son can write in cursive, but needs practice. Any comments? Why is CC better?

I asked this same question, as we have used A Reason for Handwriting up to this point, too. Cheerful Cursive gives more practice on forming the cursive letters correctly...rather than jumping into writing words and verses right away which helps the kids learn cursive better. Here's where Carrie answered this for me...http://www.heartofdakota.com/board/view ... ul+cursive

Now, if you're son is already writing in cursive well, there would probably be no reason to do Cheerful Cursive rather than A Reason for Handwriting. I'm planning to do Cheerful Cursive with my son this year though because we're just starting with it.
