Electronic Dictionary

Post by John'smom » Mon Jan 16, 2012 5:15 pm

Just wondering if any of you let your dc use one of these? I have thought about getting one for next year (Preparing), but not sure if I should. I'd love to have everyone weigh in with their opinions about whether it is a good idea or not. I definitely would still have them use the regular dictionary. I would just let them use the electronic one for 1/2 of their vocab words.

I think this would be just fine. :D It would actually give exposure to using both kinds of dictionaries. As long as dc are practicing using a traditional dictionary each week for a portion of their vocabulary words, I think using an electronic dictionary (that has been proven to be a reliable source), would just work to teach another handy skill. :D That's just my opinion - HTH!
