Praying for your husband still, too, TIna. What an amazing adventure in faith! Makes my life look a little boring here... I know he's not out for adventure though and has a huge burden for his family. What an opportunity to share God's love & light in the darkness! Reminds me of studying the geography of the Holy Land this year in CTC. I absolutely LOVE that this book has us specifically praying for salvation for the people's of these countries int he Middle East. It has been a blessing to pray & study with my son this year. :D

Just wanted to say that my hubby is HOME!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D He has SO many stories, so many good seeds of the gospel were planted there! People hungry to hear about Jesus... And praise the Lord, one of his female cousins gave her life to CHRIST!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D He said that our Father had put this particular cousin on his heart to call, and when he called her, before he could even say anything but her name, she broke down crying and saying how much she needed to see him. Her life was a shambles, lots of issues that had happened to her. He went to visit her and they talked about 1 hour. She told them that on a prior visit that my husband had gone on (2 years ago) he had given her a Bible (which he didn't remember doing  ) and that she had read it and had believed then. But she then went through a lot of bad stuff, divorce in abusive marriage, etc, that she sort of "forgot" about God. Anyway, when Nami called her, she said it was like it all came back to her! All Nami had to do was basically lead her in a prayer of receiving Jesus as her Messiah, which she did happily. He said the difference in her was night and day. She said she felt so relieved and ALIVE! Praise the Lord!!!!

2 other female cousins have assured him that they are going to read the Bible he gave them, and they are very close to accepting. He had conversations with various others and planted seeds along the way. Even supernatural encounter with a lady selling flowers on the street. An older Muslim lady covered in a burka. He asked her what he could do for her, and she looked at him and said, "I have pain in my back." Now, this is not common for someone to just tell a complete stranger something like this in Iran. Anyway, he asked her if he could pray for her, and she said yes. He prayed for healing in Jesus' Name, and the woman said her back felt so much better. The woman was so touched that he would pray for her, she was overjoyed and began practically dancing in the street! Wow! God's love is powerful, my friends! So much more...but that is all for now.

Our Father has heard and answered our prayers in an amazing way! He is so faithful and so loving!

What an amazing testimony to the power of our Lord! Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Praising His holy Name for answered prayers, for your dh's cousin giving her life to Christ, and for bringing your dh back safely to you. God is good!

Thank you! Thank you, my sweet sisters! My Father is so good to me, so good beyond what I deserve. He is SO wonderful and loving and oh so faithful to us. I cannot tell you what it has meant to have you all praying for me, my children and my precious husband. I read to him last night all of your responses and prayers for him, and he was overwhelmed with joy and thankfulness to hear this. I told him how SO many people were praying for him, even those all over the country that he didn't even know. But, we are all a part of God's family, brothers and sisters in Christ, adopted by our Father. How beautiful to belong to the family of our God, our Father, our Abba!

Thank you again...and please continue to remember the Iranian people he left behind there. He told me this morning that a piece of him is still with them. He longs for us to minister to these precious people with our whole lives. Pray for the Lord's guidance in all things! Thank you and I love you all!

Praise the Lord! I am so late to this thread, but reveling in God's goodness all the same. It is amazing what the Lord can do - just a few willing Christians - just a few open hearts - and the impossible becomes possible! :D :D :D I am praying for those hearts turned to Jesus to be completely filled up with Him - that He may become their heart's delight! :) Hug that hubbie of yours - a good man you have to love m'dear! :D :D :D

Love in Christ,
Julie

Thank you all SO, SO, SO much for your prayers. I cannot express it enough. MY dh has just been transformed by this trip and each day is having one divine encounter after another. My faith is so built up by it. I wanted to recommend some books that really impacted us before he went on this trip, and I believe they prepared both of us for what our Father wanted to do.

Crazy Love by Francis Chan
Radical by David Platt
The Hole in our Gospel by Richard Stearns

I pray that if you get a chance, you will read these books. They are so amazing. My husband read "Crazy Love" on the plane over to Iran, and he said he was just overwhelmed by it and so blessed while he was there by reading that. It made such a difference. We read "Radical" before he left, and my Father used it to totally overcome my fear of him leaving and being in Iran. Please read! They are life-changing books.
