Well, it's a little confusing, but after months of praying and thinking, we're going to be finishing up LHTH (we're about half way through) with my 4.5yo ds and 2.5 yo ds. AND starting in September for my 4.5yo we're going to begin the the K level fine motor, phonics and math portions of LHFHG (which just arrived this week - YAY! ). We're going to be doing a 3 or 4 day week this year as his pre K year, adding some other fun things along the way to stretch it to fill the year. Then next year we'll do the full LHFHG with the 1st grade material (and most likely using Beyond for reading/math) for K. I had struggled with what to do because he's "ahead" with reading and math, but since we hadn't finished LHTH yet and were enjoying it so much, I decided to continue with it and add to it insteading of rushing to finish it or just stopping and starting something new. I'm so excited now that we've got it all figured out. Can't wait to start!

Start date: We've already started and are in our 4th unit because we are expecting baby #4 in the fall and want to take some time off without having to feel rushed to get back into it.

I was thinking of starting our 3 year old on Little Hands but am going to wait until next year to try and balance the others.

Hi Everyone! I am currently using Bigger with my two boys-8 and 10. I am trying to decide if I should switch the older one to Preparing when it comes out. And I just started Little Hearts with my 5 year old girl.
We are loving HOD!

I bought LHTH. At first I thought about starting it this Fall with my 2 1/2 yr old son but now I am thinking of waiting and do it in the Fall of 2009 and he'll be almost 3 1/2 by then. We'll just listen to the Singing Bible here and there and do the devotionals maybe at bedtime.
I think I'll be busy enough with my daughter doing K and he can tag along anyway. We'll see, I keep changing my mind. I am going to be using LHFHG for the math portion with my daughter.

We started HOD part way through the year last year and the plan was to power through it and get to the next level. But instead we decided to extend it another year and do it 4 days a week leaving one day a week for Bible, character and nature study. It lets us have our cake and eat it too.

Drawn into the Heart of Reading, Level 2/3, 4/5, 6/7
Age of children: 9,9,10, almost 11
Start Date: maybe August possibly Sept but kids want to get back to it.

HOD Program: Little Hearts for His Glory (on a 4-day plan) Finishing up The Reading Lesson then starting the Early Reader's and reading some of the wonderful books in the appendix.
