We plan to start Aug. 15th. Hopefully I will be ready. My daughter wants to start now!!

We are starting RtR this week. We are actually going to start tomorrow, but skip Wednesday and Thursday, and do day two on Friday. Weird schedule, I know. I wasn't actually planning to start until next week because my second dd has oral surgery on Wednesday, and everyone goes to dentist on Thursday. But dd12 is dying to get started, so who am I to stand in the way

I know it's going to be a great year! I look forward to sharing it with you all.

We are starting RTR with my 13 yo dd on August 8! The boxes are scheduled to come today! We are also doing Preparing with my 10 yo ds and LHTH with my 4 yo ds. My 16 yo is doing MFW world history. I am very excited for this new school year!

We are new to HOD this year, but will be starting RTR with my 8th grade son end of the month or beginning of September...haven't decided yet, but we are very excited!

I just have to get myself and homeschool area organized and we'll be ready to go! I'm a little concerned...only because this is our first year with HOD and I'll be attempting 3 guides at once, but I believe the Lord led us here, so I'm sure all will work out fine!

just a little bump to see if we pick up an more RTR'ers. We started Monday and it is SO wonderful!!!

My plan is to start on Mon., Aug 15, but I have a LOT of projects going on right now (a homeschool/craft closet under construction--Yipee if it ever gets done , a son's bedroom to paint and fix up, etc.) that don't look like they're going to get done in time. I'm debating whether to try to organize around the mess and go ahead and start, or whether to put it off another week and hope everything gets done by the 22nd. I'm very anxious to start, but also want to be organized and not having to work around messes that may never get finished if I'm not able to devote as much time to them. I just don't know where the summers go. I guess I have a few more days to see how far we get on everything and decide from there. I'm excited and a little nervous about our year!

We're not starting it until January. We didn't finish what we were using this year because after my dad died in Feb we took about a month, well really 2 months off to help my Mom and Grandpa with the dairy farm. We live about 45 minutes away so just put it away for awhile. We also took a summer break and will start back up where we left off next week. I hope to get done with everything by Dec 1 so we can take a good break before starting Preparing and RTR. I am so excited to do these 2 programs this year!

Oh Stephannie, that is a hard decision. I usually try to wait until I have everything organized and ready, but sometimes I just get so excited I can't wait to start any longer. I think (if you have the will power) waiting till all is in place and ready would be the best idea.

mom2fiveboysnc, We will all be so jealous when you are starting things brand new in January. Your children learned some very meaningful lessons during those 2 months you took off. Taking care of family is so very important.

We will be doing it for the second time this year. Not sure exactly where we will start we are actually just finishing this year now. It;s a great program. We are excited to use it again.
