It's great to hear!!...but also really kind of a bummer since my son will have graduated already We have used SL since 2005, and it has really been a HUGE disappointment due to the fact that it has 'just' been reading, with no interaction or digging deeper into the materials, connections to life etc. My kids, especially dd who is graduating this year, would have thrived with HOD Using CTC with my son this year in 9th beefed up with some SL books is wonderful---mainly because HOD is so rich and complete, but not too young for ds (even though we do skip the crafty projects!). I do plan to continue on with HOD/SL books until he graduates----and then plan to drool at the high school programs when they come out and I don't have any more kids to homeschool

I am very excited about this news! Thank you, Carrie! My dd14 is using another curriculum for high school right now and it is a good fit for her. My boys, however, would not do well with it. HOD is a much, much better fit for them. Much. If I could only convince my ds12 to stay home for high school...I just love the scope and sequence for the high school years. At least my other children will be able to benefit from HOD through high school!

I am so excited about this! My little guy is only in Kindergarten but I'm so happy to know that we will be able to use HOD all the way through!

I can't seem to really find the words to express how I feel right now. Peace I guess. It's so nice to feel complete peace for both my kids education. Joshua will only miss the last manual it looks like (unless we school year around I might just do it so we can get them all in) and Jacob will get all of them. The peace that comes from knowing the bulk of the decisions are made for us is soooo....... There truly aren't words for that emotion.

Thank you Carrie, Austin family, & Julie and family. The sacrifices are great I know. The work you do now is the work that will affect the future Kingdom of God for great Glory to Jesus. Priceless in the end when you hear "Well done my good and faithful servant."

I pray you are as blessed through the process as we are in using the materials.

I am so excited and happy to see this. It does bring so much peace to me that for Noah I will be able to rest and know that he will get a wonderful God centered education all the way until he graduates. My DD is bummed that she won't get to do them and it was cute because when I told Noah the news he said "that means Sarah can do them". Then I had to tell him that they wouldn't be written yet and he was sad for her.

Oh I see now. Thanks! I missed that. They were playing on the suspense and I missed the ride on that one. Next time they send an announcement I am going to make sure I get every bit. No skimming the HOD emails.

There was a link in the last email "Heart of Dakota's Newest Guide." In all the excitement of checking out the new RevtoRev guide, I think that many people missed seeing it. At least, that's what happened to me until someone else pointed it out.

My daughter (who is just starting RtR regretfully asked if the world was going to last that long. I think she's afraid we won't get to all the guides before Christ's return

Carrie, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the work you do putting together these manuels. I've been on the boards now for a few years, and I know your decision to write high school manuels was prayerfully and patiently considered. Thank you for waiting on the Lord for his direction.

We are on week 9 of Bigger...but the new manuel and all the materials look FABULOUS. We have so much to look forward to. We are so blessed and I'm so thankful.

They really need to add that jumping up and down smilie button don't they. It's just hard to get how exciting this is with the smilies available.
