I honestly learned what curds and whey were when we did this activity too. :wink: I'd always wondered what the whey really was and how it was separated. It was a learning experience for my kiddos as well.

On a sidenote, you actually do get to make butter in one of the HOD guides, so you have that learning moment to look forward to coming up! :D

Ds will be so excited to hear he gets to make butter again. I hope I've not sounded critical of anything in the guide. I wouldn't ever want to be a discouragement. Even ds asked me when it didn't work for us, if it had been tried before. I told him that yes, you would have tried it and if it didn't work you wouldn't have put it in the guide.
