Thanks, ladies, for all your replies. I feel a little more comfortable now. I really like the idea of going half speed at the beginning of a guide if they need more time to grow into it. The way my young five year old is now, I forsee no problems. I'll just have to evaluate where she is at the end of each guide. :D
