Thank you so much for replying. One thing- my 5 1/2 year old already did the Do it Carefully and Finding the Answers books; would the Thinking Skills (I think that's what it was called) be too much for him, or should I have him repeat the D/F workbooks?

Sharon,

I'd just move your little honey into Thinking Skills then and see how he does. If it frustrates him, then set it aside, but I wouldn't repeat the D/F books. :D
