Oh! I've missed you all!! (Do I need to re-introduce myself?! ) In the last month, the kids and I made a trip to Atlanta, GA to visit my sister and her family...15 hrs of driving! (We had to use the week after we got home to recover from all our fun! ) Then...we had our county fair...and next week is VBS. Here's our plan.

HOD Program: Bigger Hearts for His Glory
Age of child: 8 year old ds
Start Date: Aug. 4

HOD Program: Little Hands to Heaven
Age of child: 4 year old dd
Start Date: Aug. 4

HOD program: LHFHG - loving it! (we are using our own phonics and handwriting program)
Age of Child: 5 1/2 girl who will be 6 in November
Start Date: July - we are currently finishing up week four

I am loving this program! It is so user friendly!

We will be using HOD for the first time starting September 2008.
DD(turns 7 tomorrow) will use BLHFHG with the emerging readers set. She should be second grade but because Singapore math is more advanced I bought the first grade package.
DS(4.5) will be using LHTH
DD(will turn 3 when we start) will use LHTH with brother.

We'll be using LHFHG left hand page and storytime and BLHFHG for the language arts and math using the emerging reader schedule for my dear 6 year old boy and girl twins in September. I'm looking forward to starting!

This will be our first year with HOD curriculum. We will be starting Bigger Hearts and DITHOR in the middle of August. I can't wait! Kimber

We will be starting with Preparing in September, Lord willing. This may change on box day when my kids decide to "steal" books to their rooms and beg to start that very afternoon . My dd will (age 10) will do just fine and may take the guide and just do it mostly on her own. I'll have to stop her from sneaking the storytime books so we can discuss them as we read. My ds, age 7, however, will need more help, but he will loves the topics covered in world history, so he should be fine. I am afraid I just can't separate them into two programs this year with my mom's ill health and my medical transcriptionist job. Maybe next year things will calm down and we can jump back a book for his third grade year.

HOD Program: Little Hearts for His Glory
We are using our own Phonics and Math programs (purchased prior to finding HOD)!
Age of Child: boy 5.9 years & girl 4.4 years
Start Date: July - we are on week one!

HOD Program: Bigger Hearts for His Glory & DITHR
Who: 2 sons, 2nd & 4th grade (we have a daughter, age 3 also)
Starting: August 4th (prayerfully!)

Question: Is anyone else in Georgia using HOD?? I live in the Suwanee, Buford area.

We'll be using Beyond Little Hearts for His Glory with my 8yo ds. He's very excited ! We'll begin school again on August 12th.

I love seeing what everyone else is doing, too! I have:

If I can hold out that long, our start date will be September 1st. However, I found out today that we're moving in ONE WEEK from TN to OK, so I'll be lucky if I even have it all unpacked by then!

I finally ordered what I needed tonight. I'm so excited to do this! This is my first year homeschooling. I have a almost 10 year old son who I'm taking out of public school. He'll be doing Bigger Hearts. I have a 6 year old girl who will be doing Little Hearts. I have a 4 year old who will be going to 3 day a week preschool and doing Little Hands (and probably some of Little Hearts with big sis). We are starting in August.

I am very excited because our box is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow! We plan to start in August using:

DS/9: Bigger Hearts with Extension and DITHOR
DD/5.5: Little Hearts
