After today, I am feeling a lot better. She is so diligent with her written work, and enjoyed her science experiment. She couldn't give me a history narration, but she could answer questions about the reading, so it's not as over her head as I feared at first. Narration is going to be really hard for her because she is shy about anything that feels like performing. Until recently she didn't even like to have her picture taken! Maybe I could get her to re-tell the story to her favorite stuffed animal while I listen in the background.

As you move through this guide they will have some activities where you both narrate it together and take turns. This helped tremendously. Next year when she does written narrations, she will be given a set of questions to answer that guide the flow of the narration. I am glad to hear your day went much better!
