Sound good! Old Fashion Oats or Quick?
You can use either. We use Old Fashioned though! More healthy, right? Kind of balances out the rest of the sweet stuff.

We like Old Fashion too! Thanks for the recipe! Don't you have and old lunch schedule on here that you could post the link too?

At the beginning of the school year I like to make a quick list of foods for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinners. We have had many changes over the years due to food allergies and now a diet. So, I like to start with a fresh, current list. I also do not eat the same foods as my kids always. If I had a pb&j sandwich then I would have to take a nap afterwards. In fact, cutting sugar recently has helped me to not feel so tired during the day.

For breakfast the kids have oatmeal, cereal or French toast oatmeal( leftover sweetened oatmeal about a cup and a half with six eggs mixed in, pour on griddle like pancakes). Occasionally I will make muffins if I have time.
I have a quick Trim Healthy Mama Muffin in a mug, eggs, oatmeal with cottage berry whip or leftover pancakes.(look at trim healthy mama on Pinterest for recipes)
Lunches for the kids are a rotation of Pb&j sandwiches with fruit, turkey sand with fruit, egg burritos with peas and carrots, spinach wraps(tortilla, mayo, garlic salt, spinach, turkey, cheese), leftover soup and grilled cheese, quick tortilla pizzas,
I have Ezekial bread with veggies, salad, sweet potato, or some other trim healthy mama lunch.

I have my oldest help prepare lunch by washing fruit and cutting it if he is finished with math. After lunch my other son does the dishes, 4 year old cleans the table.
