Hi SarahAngeline! :D There are many possible placement options within HOD, and you have contemplated several that would would work. Having read through this entire thread, this would have been my advice as well...
Carrie wrote:... LHFHG with the K options, perhaps done 4 days a week (and stretching 9 weeks into the next school year to finish). :D...
Your ds actually fits well in LHFHG with the K options. In fact, he pretty much is an exact fit with the placement chart for LHFHG, which means he will probably be best placed in LHFHG with K options, and thrive! :D If you are concerned about getting to Bigger Hearts too soon, you could easily do LHFHG, Beyond, and Bigger Hearts just 4 days a week, taking a fifth day off each week, and this will naturally spread these 3 guides out over about 4 years. :D But, I'd start LHFHG with K options full-speed and see how it goes. I'm betting it will go beautifully. :D HTH!

In Christ,
Julie

Julie I just saw your response to this post that you wrote in May- Thank you for your encouragement! I cannot tell you how much it truly means to me! I am planning on going at full-speed and seeing how that goes... My only area of concern is the handwriting, but we have been doing some light work books over the summer and rewarding with stickers and I am so excited to see how he progresses in LHFHG. =) Again, thank you!
