glperky - I don't think you caused any problems! If anything, my responses probably made everything very confusing! I am sorry for the confusion!!!

Carrie did make an excellent point about different children's Bibles teaching different things. I didn't even think about that when I responded, but now I remember when we read from the Bible recommended in LHTH that there were some new concepts not covered in our other children's Bibles.

And I also agree with Julie on purchasing from HOD. Both of my orders in the past year have been extremely prompt and everything was in pristine condition! And I am picky! They definitely provide excellent customer service!

Everything HOD related that I order in the future, I will order from HOD. Believe me, I have learned my lesson! Not just from this book not showing up but from a couple of other things I have ordered that did show up but not in the condition they were sold to me. I am picky, too, very picky!

We have the New Bible in Pictures for LHTH, but often use our real Bible, too. I think you could sure start with your regular Bible, and in a couple of months, if you find you might benifit from the children's Bible option, maybe you'd have the funds by then to purchase a new copy of New Bible in Pictures for Little Eyes. Who knows, you might find you like LHTH with your own Bible just as well or better :)

I'm not overly familiar with the Bible in Pictures [old version], but have briefly glanced at a friend's copy of it, and it seems the main difference would be picture quality-more realistic in the original vs more of a cartoon style in the New one. Haven't compared the stories themselves.
