We school year round and every once in awhile, take a week or so off from HOD to do other things like unit studies. We started LHFHG at the end of Sept/beginning of October and we just finished Unit 19.

12 y/o and 10 y/o are in week 27 of Preparing. We are taking 6-8 weeks off for the summer starting next week. We will then resume Preparing.
7 y/o is in week 17 of LHFHG. We will continue working through the summer 3-4 days a week.

We go year round, so we just fall where we fall. My 2 olders are in the 2nd unit of Preparing. My 6 year old is in the middle of LHFHG. My 4 year old is 1/3 of the way through LHTH. I just let it fall where it falls. That's the joy of homeschooling!!

My 5 yo is in unit 10 of LHFHG, my 9 yo is in unit 30 of PHFHG, and my 12 yo is done with RevtoRev and ready to start MTMM.

We are on summer break and enjoying our nice weather together, as well as taking some time to help out with my parents as my dad had a major surgery for pancreatic cancer. I am not stressing - just trying to enjoy this time with family. This time with our dc (and my parents) is precious - I'm trying to enjoy the journey knowing homeschooling is important, but not everything.

One of my many favorite things about HOD is the balance I find within the guides; I am trying to mimic that in my life... balance. It's a beautiful thing!
In Christ,
Julie
