I haven't used any yet so I can't even vote on my own poll but PHFHG looks pretty amazing! The new MTMM guide looks like something I want buy and do myself after all the kids are in bed! Lol!

That is tough to choose. My ds and I have loved them all. I guess Preparing since that was the first one we did when he came home from ps and it proved to both of us we could do this homeschooling thing. It also proved that not only could we do it, but have fun doing it. It showed him school wasn't something to dread. If he hears me talk about selling any of his books he will always say "You can't sell Grandpa's Box." That is his favorite book of all time.

So far for me it has been LHFHG. I love them all, but LHFHG taught me so much that I never learned in church or school and left me openminded when my husband began questioning the doctrine of our church. We ended up moving to a church that he feels is more in line with scripture. I confess that before LHFHG, I never even thought about church doctrine mattering.

Loving Preparing so far!

I picked Preparing just because of the wonderful history overview and the new independence that my daugher LOVED, but really, all the guides we've used have been wonderful!

We've only used LHFHG and Beyond so far. I really can't say we liked one better than the other. I gather, from what others are saying, that we will feel the same way about the guides we have yet to do. :D As we get finished with one, I get excited about the next. It is exciting seeing dd grow in knowledge and, most importantly, grow spiritually as we enjoy each guide. :D

I picked Preparing, but in fairness, I have only used Bigger, Preparing and RTR so far. We will be doing CTC and Rev2Rev next year and I am so excited for both of these. I have all the books here and I constantly drool over all of them. They look wonderful!!

Loved the sweep of history in Preparing-I learned so much that year, lol. I also loved the balance of teacher-led vs. independent work-it was a great year for dd and me :D But all the guides I have used are great

We have used Little Hearts, Beyond Little Hearts, Bigger Hearts, CTC, and RTR and are currently using Preparing and Rev to Rev. So far, my absolute favorite has been CTC. The reason I love it so much is because it is that last year where the child makes the leap from being relatively reliant on the parent to being really independent. It hits right at an age where the child is maturing and coming into his/her own anyway. Don't get me wrong, My older son has enjoyed RTR and Rev to Rev, but the work is tougher and he does the guides now almost totally independently. CTC was that last sweet year where he made the leap and started to learn what it was like to branch out on his own and take control of his studies. :)

Besides...he made a SUPER CUTE little soldier guy that I will treasure forever.

This is a fun idea! We have done Preparing, CTC and now this year, RTR. I have to say that RTR has been my favorite! The notebooking pages contribute tremendously and really help to solidfy the learning. I feel like the work is right where my 5th and 7th grader are and it is the first guide they have done completely together. The history spines are great, Map Trek, the projects, I could go on and on.... :D

I have done all the guides from Little Hands to Preparing. My favorite so far, without hesitation, is Preparing.
