My Son is Excited about His Reading Books!!

Post by tnahid » Thu Aug 04, 2011 11:46 pm

Today my oldest son (10) was just going through his books and being very excited and interested in all that he is going to read this year. He was going through his Boy Interest Pack and his History extension books. I have already put them on a shelf for him, and to see him pull each one out and read it and say, "Oh, that looks good!" with a big smile on his face just does my heart so good! :P :P He is the one I have the most struggle with academically, but last year he LOVED the Boy Interest books with DITHOR, and it looks to be the same this year.

Thank you, Carrie and HOD, for choosing such wonderful books that my very boyish boy loves to read! He doesn't even mind the workbook that much because he loves the books! That's a plus!

Just wanted to let you know. I hope my second son enjoys his Boy Interest pack as much as my oldest did last year. He is reading the same ones my oldest read last year. I believe he will enjoy them too!

Blessings!

How wonderful! It is such a blessing to see that excitement for learning in our dc. Your ds is right that those books are going to be great. We read quite a few of them last year and not only did my dc like them, but so did I. :D

I too am thankful for HOD's book selections, especially because I have 3 sons. :D I sometimes can feel at a loss what to have them read - as we like very different genres from one another. HOD has done an outstanding job of choosing books that fit my boys well while still fitting my goals for their reading. I'm so glad your ds is looking forward to his DITHOR books this year! I bet your younger ds will enjoy the DITHOR titles he reads as well. It is tough to find good books for each genre. I cannot even imagine where I'd begin to do so without HOD - I'm so glad our boys are benefiting from Carrie's hard work! Have an awesome year with those great books, Tina! :D
