UPDATE - on my dd who hated the talking time
I didn't see my other thread from 2 weeks ago, but thought I would update. We are pushing through and doing the oral questioning without trouble!!! I did compromise and we do the poetry all on one day, but she reads it each day. We just save the poetry discussion for Thursday. I will likely transition to the original format on that, but it is working for now. As for the other questioning, it took some prodding and frustration but it is starting to come along for her and she is enjoying it. The science is new and interesting to her so it is all good. I am glad I stuck with it. Thanks for all of your inputs and thoughts.
I've done all the guides now with at least one child and still feeling the HOD LOVE. LOL!

Steph,
Thanks so much for taking the time to update us on a previous post! I am so glad to see your daughter is easing into the more CM-style of schooling and is learning to enjoy the "talking time" parts of the guides. I'm so proud of both of you for hanging in there and working on the skills gradually, when I know it would have been easier to give up and give in. We pray you will continue to grow in the guide and grow in the Lord as well. It is my constant prayer for my own boys to do those very things!
Blessings,
Carrie

Yay! That is fantastic. I bet it will continue getting better and better. I read your original thread, but didn't know what advice to give. You got lots of great advice from the other ladies and Carrie's response to you there was so encouraging. Kudos to you for persevering!
