Excited our box came!!!!

Post by Christi in Ohio » Thu Apr 22, 2010 12:01 pm

First I have to say I was so pleased with the customer service from HOD. I had ordered two of the same bible for my little ones and HOD called to make sure I had meant to do that.

My box came today and I am even more thrilled to see all the materials in person. The kids have been pouring over the bibles and talking about the pictures, very sweet. I can hardly wait for next Monday to come so we can get started. I decided I am going to bump things up a bit for DD with some extra workbooks from Rod and Staff. Just the very basic three and four year old ones will be just right for her for now.

I start getting all excited and planning what extra stuff I could add or thinking of stretching things out to two weeks. That is what always gets me in trouble. I am just going to be sticking to the book.

Anyway, I just had to share my excitment. Maybe I'll even take some photos next week to share with the weekly check-ins. I am so glad to have found this wonderful resource. I am quite sure it was not by accident. :D

Christi,
So happy to hear about your dc's excitement over their new books. :D

I just wanted to agree with you that you should stick to the manual. We both are coming from the same background I believe of planning our own things. I'll just be starting HOD in the fall for the first time and I'm so looking forward to having everything planned out for me. After you look through your manual you will see it is very thorough and you want to keep that same excitement you have without burning yourself out. KWIM?

Also I just wanted to say I would love to see you posting on the weekly check-ins. I love reading what everybody is doing. I hope to be posting on there myself in the fall.

I have been trying to do our own planning...not much getting done that way. I get overwhelmed with all the possible options. That is why my oldest is doing a "box" curriculum. He loves it.

Hooray for box day! :D I'm so glad they came, and Mike and the boys in the warehouse will be glad to read your comments about their service. They are the behind the scenes guys that make HOD possible. I know HOD is bound to be as much of a blessing in your home as it has been in ours - enjoy! :D

Christi,

I'm so glad that you have your books in hand and are loving what you see! :D I'll pass along your kind words to my hubby and our boys who pack our orders and serve our customers. They will love the encouragement! :D

We pray that HOD may be a blessing in your home. :D

Blessings,
