$1 school finds at Target

Post by WigglesMom » Mon Jul 06, 2009 11:44 pm

I found a lot of $1 finds at Target recently to help organize my "school" room. They are in the little $1 section that Target has in most of their stores.

This is the number chart that I love having for my ds6 who is still working on counting to 100. It really helps him with math.

This US wall map is great and we have already used it several times with BHFHG. They also had a world map for about $5 that was nice, but since I have a globe I didn't buy it.
Dry Erase Schedule

This is one of my favorite things I have bought. It is a dry erase schedule that you fill in the times and the clock hands. I like that a lot and have used it to help my son read the clock and figure out what he is supposed to be doing. It is really helping him to understand the clock and time in real life perspective. I wrote each kid's schedule in a different color dry erase marker and the best part is I can change it whenever I want and use it over and over again.

I thought I would share some of the $1 finds that Target has right now. I love to check their $1 sections and they have a lot of good deals and fun extras for your "class" room. I also got a pen/pencil/supplies holder for $1. I somehow didn't get a picture of it though.

Val,

Those are great finds! I really like the large size of the 100 chart.
I had planned a trip there tomorrow for other goodies, I will definitely check out the dollar area.
Thanks!

Thanks for the letting us know about these great finds! I really like the dry-erase schedule board! I've gotten a few things at my Target in the $1 spot for school, but I haven't seen these there yet. I'll have to make another run soon! :D

I have found some 100 piece puzzles of the US and animals and also some cool maze and puzzle books...just for fun extras!

I have seen puzzles and flashcards, but not those nice charts. Love them!! I can't buy anything this week, but have some money budgeted for school next week, so hopefully I can get some of that. Thanks for sharing!

Those look great - and all for a dollar! :D I need to stock up on markers, etc. too. I suppose those are starting to be on sale now? Usually, I get those at Walmart, but I bet Target has them on sale too. Thanks for sharing these great deals!

I like the dry erase schedule. I can get a few for the children's rooms and for the fridge. :) My heart skipped a beat when I saw the stores starting to fill up with back to school supplies. I just don't need nothing but some crayons and color pencils the rest is just goodies.

Thank you so much for posting your dollar deals! I went to Target today after seeing your post, they had 3 of the chore charts left and I bought 2 of them!! No joy on the 100 chart or handwriting posters but I found the US map, and bought pom pom's for my little one to sort... I do a variation of workboxes for him. I am so in the back to school mode...of course we haven't stopped doing school :P Thanks again for posting the great stuff you found.

I got a dry erase schedule today...yippee!!!!
For considerably more than $1 I also found 17" chalkboard circles that peel on and off the wall. Pretty fun!
I love back-to-school supplies. What was the movie that referred to a bouquet of freshly sharpened pencils?
