BHFHG Science

Post by threegreatkids » Fri Jun 19, 2009 7:54 am

I'd like to have my dds (8 and 9 in the fall) do one subject in Bigger independently as the year progresses. It looks like Science might work well, as it is somewhat similar in format to the Independent Science in Preparing. Thoughts on this?

I think if you've laid the groundwork of doing it with them first for awhile, science would be a logical choice for the goal you have. The science is independent in PHFHG, so that would make sense to ease into it if they're willing and able.

I agree! The science in Bigger Hearts was one of the easiest things to train my kiddos to do on their own and read from the guide. I did still listen to the oral narrations as scheduled from the science readings twice a week though.

:D Blessings,
