I have one more question on The Reading Lesson. We started yesterday with my 6-year old DD. She can already read c/v/c words. We were doing the first lesson, and I was trying to get her to put her finger under each letter like the book suggests. But she won't! Should I make her??
Thanks!

I never do it with the child moving their finger. I always do it having it be me that moves my finger across. I figure I can move my finger so that the letters come together as they are supposed to. Maybe that is something for you to try. It works great for us.
Ok actually just sat down to do it and really my younger child does get in there but I do as well so still something to try maybe.

I do the pointing
I point at it and she reads it. Maybe you could try doing the pointing and move through the first part more quickly? Maybe she is anxious to get to new stuff?
