I could NOT make up my mind between HOD, Sonlight, and MFW. BUT... I think I have made a great decision. I am excited, and hope and pray this will be perfect for my 2nd grader. I purchased the Beyond with emerging readers, it looks great, I am so excited! :D

Yeah! So excited for you! You will love it. Now you just have to wait for box day which comes pretty quick around here. :D Congratulations!

Yea! You'll love it!!! I had looked at all of those at one point (and we even used MFW K for a little while) and we just adore HOD. Please post when your box comes!! I love reading about others' box days!! :D

Our's came yesterday (Wed.) just three day after I ordered it!

What is MFW? I know the others but MFW ??? :wink:


I am very excited about ours. We did our FIRST day today!! :lol:

Oh Vicki,

CONGRATULATIONS!!!! It is so hard when we are in the middle of praying and seeking the Lords will for our family, but boy when He gives us the go ahead it is EXCITING! I can't wait for you to get your books and hear all about your box day. Please be friendly to your postman and try not to tackle them. Let them set the box down and move away before you go for it! :lol: :lol: :lol:

You'll love it!!! I waffled between MFW, SL, and HOD last year, trying to decide. I had used SL and MFW before, and once I saw HOD, there was just no comparison. I start on monday!!! I did 5 weeks of Bigger in the late spring to get a real feel for it, and I am so excited to start up again! I took a hiatus from the board over the summer, but now I am so happy to be back!
DS 11 Finished CtoC! Moving on to RtoR!
DD 9 Preparing- Hoping to give her the best year possible, and sticking to the guide as written!
DS 4 All About Reading, R&S preschool workbooks, maybe some Little Hands
