We had a great week! This post is a review for Bigger, Little Hearts, and Little Hands. Beware: a freaking adorable 3 year old equals too much cuteness to handle.

Re: Week in Review: August 10 - August 14, 2015
I really like having these week in review threads and plan to post in them each week just to keep myself accountable.
This week we skipped doing schoolwork on Tue due to an unexpected orthodontist visit (take an hour to get there...so usually take a minimum of 3 hours out of our morning).
On Wed we finished Beyond Unit 1 with my older son...and I talked to him about switching up to Bigger (I put him in Beyond so that I could try to school the boys together....but it did not work and I switched Clarence down on day 3 of Beyond but wanted to finish the unit with Steven). So, we started Bigger on Thursday and he likes it much better. ERs & spelling stayed the same and we were already doing English 2. He really likes that he gets to do science everyday. I was surprised that it has not really increased the length of our day....still take 3 hours to get both boys done with their work. It might be because he already knows some of what to do. This morning he pulled out his copywork and did it without me asking him to...and knew just what to do.

We' had a great week as far as school goes...not so much in other areas of our family life :/ Lots of bickering between my girls. We're working on it!

Re: Week in Review: August 10 - August 14, 2015
We started back to school on the 10th. I wanted to do something special because the kids were a little sad to see their summer vacation come to an end. This is our first year with HOD, and I just knew from looking through the guide that we all were going to have a great week, so I planned a wonderful first day to kick things off and get them pumped up. I got out the camera and took lots of pictures.
We started Monday off with balloons, pinwheels, sugar cookies, berry punch, and a back to school gift of new Bibles for both of them. They were so excited. Then we got into our lessons and the week just flew by. They both loved all of it. The History, science, art, English, the hymn, and the Bible Study. My daughter was even loving the dictation and cursive. I am just so thrilled and they can't wait to get back into school tomorrow!
I tried to upload some photos, but they were HUGE, and I have no idea how to make them smaller so that you can actually view them. If you know how, please tell me and I'll try again.

INmomof2, are you doing Bigger with both of them? I'm assuming Bigger since you said cursive.
So glad you had a great week!
I had a week of HOD also, but it was only me, spending time planning and scheduling and looking through old posts of other people's schedules and chores , etc.
We are starting this week, just a couple of days since we have a full house the end of the week through the middle of next week. All of my grown children plus some extras will be here! It was not the greatest timing since I had scheduled school starting full time next week--but, that's the life of a large family and home schooling.

Hi, Gwenny!
Yes, we are doing Bigger together. My dd and ds are just 13 months apart, so it makes it pretty easy on me so far We are still having a blast. The kids are learning a lot and loving it at the same time. I couldn't ask for more.
Sounds like you're a busy woman right now.
