Which books in the Bigger extension pkg...

... are used in future guides?
Dh wants to read our kiddos the extension books at night. I want to pull any that are scheduled later and save them for that guide.

Pedro's Journal is used in Preparing. Toliver's Secret is used in a level 3 book pack. And exploring Planet Earth is used in the R2R science, however, there is a substitution you could make for that instead if you wanted to read it now (but I am saving it).

One thought though - I also love the book pack - and I am using several of the books from the extension pack for the story time box instead of using them at the time they are listed. We are reading Ben and Me for biography, Buffalo Knife for Historical Fiction, The New Americas for Non-Fiction, By the Great Horn Spoon for Humor, Esperenza Rising for Realistic Fiction, and The Whipping Boy for Folk Tale. So that knocks out 6 of the genres with the extensions pack books. I personally am not using Exploring Planet Earth in this level because I think my kids will like it more in R2R. And I elected to also skip just the other two in this level because like how Pedro's Journal is used in Preparing and my old dd loved reading Toliver's Secret on her own. With the other books - my kids are still read to at night. So we are planning to also read those out load but those will be bed time read alouds.

Thanks Daneale. I will pull Pedro's Journal and the Science book and save them. Ds is getting ready to start Toliver's Secret from the level 3 book pack, so we will skip that one.
