Carrie? Convention question...,

Post by MamaMary » Thu Jan 17, 2008 5:45 pm

Is there any chance you will be at the Florida FPEA convention? I didn't see it on the list and they haven't released their vendors/speakers yet. I would LOVE to go to your booth, and walk away with my curriculum. (funny little quirk of mine  )

Mary,

We won't be at the Florida convention this year, although we did consider going. For this year, it conflicts with the North Carolina convention.

Since my parents, my sister, and I personally do all of the exhibiting, we keep our convention schedule manageable to balance out the writing time so desperately needed for a new product. We'll definitely check the dates in 2009 for Florida and re-evaluate again.

To compensate, we do put the first week of all of our plans up on the website and the Introduction of each book as well. But, I know what you mean about loving to walk away with curriculum in hand!

Blessings,
Carrie

I just checked the conference schedule and you're coming to MPE!! :D I didn't make it last year, but I hope to go this year and meet you and your family.
You may want to change the location on the site though, the MPE conference used to be in Overland Park, but it's been at the KCI Expo Center for the last few years.
I LOVE going to conference....talk about sensory overload  but soooo much fun!
Anyone else live near Kansas City?

Carrie, this is one of those beautiful Olive Organized qualities that honor the Lord and that I lack. (though He is working on me as HIS power is made perfect in my weakness, amen? )

I so respect what you wrote. I love that you write the curriculum for your own children first and that is how your program was born.

As a matter of fact it's what I love about your curriculum. Balance and prioritizing! You've brought reality and FUN together! Bite-size chunks = consistency! (warm smile)

Though, I hope it does work for 2009! :D

Thanks Candice for the update on the location for the MPE. I knew it was at the KCI Expo, I just didn't pass that along to my husband, so we'll get it fixed on our website. You ladies are doing a great job of keeping us on top of things. What did we do before we had this board? ( I just had to use the shocked eyes symbol. It's so cute)

Blessings,
Carrie

Mary,

Thanks so much for your understanding words about the Florida convention. My husband is so good at prioritizing what is most important in our lives, and I am working to stay on track with his leading. Thankfully he forces me to have balance (which I desperately need in order not to become consumed by my latest project)! :)

I also can't take credit for the bite-sized chunks = consistency plan, as it is very Charlotte Mason and is one of the main reasons I love her philosophy. I just get the blessings of applying it to our guides.

Blessings,
Carrie
